One of the things I enjoy about this particular performance is how, in the quick sections, she maintains a smooth and clear tone. Often that part can get rough–which has its own charm–but it’s fun to hear it come through in such a clear way here.
I learned this piece myself in Bulgaria from Petya Bagovska and it is one of my favorites. It’s fallen out of my repertoire but I’m committed to bringing it back so watch for more on that.
